Our Accredited Practising Dietitian works alongside our GPs to provide personalised, evidence-based nutrition support. Whether you have been referred by your doctor for a specific health condition or you are looking to improve your diet and overall wellbeing, our dietitian can help you make practical, lasting changes.
Bulk billing is available for patients with a GP Chronic Disease Management Plan (GPCCMP) referral. If you are not sure whether you qualify, our GPs can assess your eligibility and set up a plan for you in a standard appointment.

Fees and bulk billing
Bulk billing is available if you have a GP Chronic Disease Management Plan (GPCCMP) referral. Our GPs at Southport Metro can assess whether you are eligible and prepare the plan for you. Without a care plan, private fees apply and private health claiming is available on-site through HICAPS.

Dietitian consultation: $80 (Medicare rebate $60.35 with a valid GP Care Plan). Private health claiming available on-site through HICAPS.
Why see a dietitian at a medical centre?
When your dietitian and GP are in the same clinic, your care is joined up. Your GP can refer you directly, share relevant blood results and medical history, and your dietitian can feed back on your progress without you having to coordinate between separate practices. This is especially useful for patients managing chronic conditions like diabetes, heart disease, or kidney problems where nutrition is a key part of the treatment plan.
If you have a chronic health condition, ask your GP about setting up a Chronic Disease Management Plan. This gives you access to Medicare-rebated dietitian sessions and ensures your nutrition care is aligned with your overall treatment.
