Southport Metro Medical Centre is a family-owned general practice located in the heart of Southport, inside Australia Fair Metro Shopping Centre on Scarborough Street. We’ve been serving the Gold Coast community for many years, and we’re genuinely invested in the long-term health of the people who come through our doors.
We’re not a corporate medical chain. We’re a local clinic with a team of GPs and allied health professionals who take the time to get to know their patients. About Our Clinic
We’re based at Shop M032, Australia Fair Metro Shopping Centre — one of the most accessible locations on the Gold Coast, with ample parking and easy public transport access. Being inside a shopping centre means our patients can combine their GP visit with errands, and it removes some of the clinical formality that puts people off going to the doctor.
Our approach is straightforward: good medicine, respectful care, and no unnecessary complexity. We believe patients deserve honest advice, enough time to have a real conversation, and a team they can trust over the long term. If something is beyond our scope, we’ll refer you to the right specialist — and we’ll stay involved in your care throughout.
We are a MyMedicare registered clinic. Registering us as your regular GP practice can increase your Medicare rebates and help us provide better coordinated care for patients with chronic conditions. You can register through the Medicare Express Plus app or your Medicare Online Portal.

Our Team
We have six GPs, a psychologist, two physiotherapists, and a dietitian — all under one roof. We encourage patients to build an ongoing relationship with one regular GP, but any member of our team can help when your usual doctor isn’t available.

There’s parking available directly at Australia Fair, and the centre is well-served by public transport with bus stops on Scarborough Street. We’re a short walk from Southport CBD and the light rail.
