Southport Metro Medical Centre has a home visit policy in place as part of our commitment to meeting RACGP accreditation standards. Home visits are available in limited circumstances for existing patients who are genuinely unable to attend the clinic.
In practice, home visits are conducted at the treating doctor’s discretion and are not routinely offered. The fee for a home visit is $350, payable at the time of booking. A Medicare rebate applies. If you believe your circumstances may qualify, please call reception on (07) 5612 7830 to discuss. Our team will assess your situation and advise whether a home visit can be arranged.
After-Hours Home Visits
For after-hours GP care at home — including evenings, overnight, and weekends — we recommend the National Home Doctor Service. They provide after-hours GP home visits across the Gold Coast and are available when our clinic is closed.
Call the National Home Doctor Service on 13 SICK (13 7425) — available after hours, 7 days a week across the Gold Coast. Medicare rebates apply. Following the visit, an electronic report is sent to our clinic to update your medical file.
If you are experiencing a medical emergency — chest pain, difficulty breathing, loss of consciousness, suspected stroke, or severe bleeding — call 000 immediately.
