No show/Late Cancellation policy

The goal of the Doctors who independently operate from Southport Metro Medical Centre is to provide quality health care to patients in a timely manner. No-shows, late arrivals, and cancellations inconvenience not only to the providers but other patients as well. Please be aware of our policy regarding missed appointments.

Appointment Cancellation

When you book your appointment, you are holding a space on the provider’s calendar that is no longer available to other patients. In order to be respectful of everyone’s time, please inform the practice as soon as you know you will not be able to make your appointment.

If cancellation is necessary, we require that you inform us at least 2 hours in advance. Appointments are in high demand, and your advanced notice will allow another patient access to that appointment time.

How to Cancel Your Appointment

If you need to cancel your appointment, you can either cancel it through HotDoc app (if you made a booking through the app) or ring the practice between the hours of Monday-Friday 8am-10pm Saturday 8am-6pm & Sunday 8am-5pm

Late Cancellations/No-Shows

A cancellation is considered late when the appointment is cancelled less than 2 hours before the appointed time. A no-show is when a patient misses an appointment without cancelling.

In either case, we will charge the patient a $30* no-show or late cancellation fee.
*As our providers are independent contractors the fee amount may be higher at their discretion. Please contact reception to find out more.
